Supplies Needed:
Glass Votive
Tranx Maxx Transfer Medium Tissue Decoupage Papers - Halloween Leaves, ferns, ribbon Water Based Gloss Varnish Wax Paper Soft brush
Wash and dry your votive. Lay your images flat on wax paper. Make sure to do all your work on wax or freezer paper.
Cut your image.
Dip your paper image in water and blot dry,
or use a spray bottle to mist the backside of the paper,
this prepares the paper for removing the backing.
Immediately, while surface and image is still wet peel the corner paper from backside of image, leaving the image. If it has some give and does not remove easily, you paper needs to be wet again, mist with a spray bottle. Make sure to remove all paper.
Put some Tranx Maxx on your wax paper and water it down to the consistency of milk. Put a thin layer on the backside of your image. Apply image to glass votive. Use your fingers and a paint brush handle or tooth pick to roll out the air bubbles. Remove any excess with a damp kitchen sponge. Let dry. Add 2 coats of gloss varnish to the front of the image. Wait three days to light candle, Tranx Maxx fully cures in three days. We added holiday picks onto styrofoam with a low temp glue gun for the base. Your votive will have the look of hand painted glass. How cool is that!
Works
great with our Tissue Decoupage Papers, and on all laser
images!
