How to Use Fine Foils
Fine Foils - Great for Decoupage, Collage, Altered Art, and all your projects!
Includes 10 Fine Colored Foils @ 6 X 8 inches

* Lightly crumple the foil in your hands.  Then gently smooth out.

* Tear the crumpled fine foils in to small pieces, about the size of a quarter.

* Apply foil glue or Elmer’s Glue-All to the back or torn crumpled pieces and layer the pieces over your surface, and each other in a collage effect, being careful not to get glue on the front of the foil.  Be sure to adhere the pieces to one another with more glue.  I use a stencil brush to pounce the pieces together.

* Let dry.  Since foils are non porous they take time to dry.  If cold to the touch it is not dry.  Generally overnight is sufficient time.

* Once dry you can paint or stain your pieces.

* To paint - add water based Gloss Glazing Medium, or water based Gloss Varnish your metallic paint about 2 part paints to one part medium or Varnish.  Using a soft brush apply to the Fine Foils getting into the crevices, wipe off any excess with a cloth.

* To stain - use water based Gloss Varnish and a couple of drops of alcohol inks.  Mix well, Using a soft brush apply to your Fine Foils, wipe off any excess with a cloth.

* Use Fine Foils to make your pieces look like vintage metal!
